Having looked on the internet last night, we discovered there was a classic car show in a town about half an hour from where we are staying (Scranton) so we decided to go there in the morning before it got too hot.
When we got there and found there were only half a dozen cars, so thinking that we were perhaps too early (the show opened an hour before) we decided to go somewhere else and return later.
Having picked up a leaflet about the Shenandoah Heritage Market in Harrisonburg, we decided to give that a try. This is a large building which houses lots of retailers selling everything from food and clothing to furniture and jewellery. It is a very interesting place to visit with some great items, especially the wooden furniture.
Now at a loss as to what to do, but feeling hungry we decided to travel over to Lovingston again to have lunch at the Lovingston Cafe we enjoyed so much the other day. It was worth the trip as once again we had a great meal. We can definitely recommend this place.
Next, we went back to the car show, but they were packing everything up, two hours before the finish time. We suspect no other cars showed up so they called it a day, shame.
Back to the hotel to rest for an hour or two before another trip along the Skyline. Wow, what a night. For some reason, there were very few deer about. Because it is Saturday there were more people and cars about so they were probably keeping out the way. But the bear sightings more than made up for it. We saw two separate mama bears, each with two cubs. Got some great video. Also saw another single bear, so a total of 7 bears.
