Our New York trip went really well and we had fantastic weather with temps in the high 20C’s. We visited all the landmarks including Times Square, the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building. We took bus tours of both upper and lower Manhattan as well as Brooklyn which was a really good way to see the city. We got the chance to see all the sights from the top deck of an open bus and got tons of photos. We were also privileged to be at Ground Zero on the third anniversary of 9/11, a very moving experience. They read out all the names of those who were killed and it took hours, very sad and I admit I cried.
Considering we paid very little for this trip, it was really great and I am glad we went. Not sure I would want to go back to New York as it is far too busy for me, but it is one of those places you have to go to once in your life.
