Our house went on the market on Monday and we had a viewing arranged for this evening and another for tomorrow night, so hopefully, things are moving along well. We have also agreed to an open house on Sunday afternoon, so have to keep fingers crossed that someone likes it.

Today’s viewing was arranged for 6 pm, so we were asked to vacate the house for an hour. We decided to make the most of the time by eating out and went to Swiss Chalet for a nice meal. We like Swiss as it tends to be pretty quick service and the prices are pretty good by Canadian restaurant standards. I had a chicken pot pie with fries and gravy and Chris had a half chicken meal. We didn’t have dessert and afterwards drove home.

When we got to the house it was 7:20 pm and there were two cars in the driveway, presumably the realtor and the viewers, so we drove around for another ten minutes. When we returned they were still there, so off we drove again. We ended up doing this several times, but eventually, we arrived and everyone was standing out by the cars chatting, so we hoped they would be leaving soon. In the end, we got back into the house at 8:15 pm.

If the people actually got there at 6 pm, then they were there for over 2 hours, even if they only got there just before we first arrived, they were there for nearly an hour. Is this a good sign? Were they discussing making an offer or perhaps just using our house as a place to chat and chill. Hopefully, our realtor will report back to us tomorrow and we will find out.
