I absolutely love adult colouring and really find it very therapeutic and relaxing. In the last six months or so I have become a big fan of color by number and in particular Creative Haven books.

In this post, I wanted to show you a few of my favourite Creative Haven books and show some examples of the pictures you can create.

Having tried out quite a few different colouring books, I have to say that these are some of my favourites to date, however they might not be for everyone. Some of the sections are very small and sometimes the numbers are hard to see, but using common sense you can get around this.

They also use a method for indicating where sections are shaded either darker or lighter than the neighbouring shade. If you are using pencils this is easy to do, but I use pens, so its a little harder. Instead I tend to use a pen one shade darker or lighter in these areas. This is not true shading, but gives a similar effect. So onto the books themselves.

All books follow the same format. Inside the front cover you will get a colour chart to follow (or not) and then examples of how each finished image will look. These extend onto the inside back cover too. They all contain about 45 pictures each.

I will show you the front cover and inside covers as well as some of my own examples. I will also include a link to Amazon, so you can check them out for yourself.

So, there you have it, my collection of Creative Haven Colour by Number books. I hope by sharing this you will get an idea of what these books offer and whether they are suitable for you.

My personal favourite is the sea life one and my least favourite is the mandala one, but I do like them all and plan to buy more in the collection.

You can check out some of my other favourite colouring books in this post too. I also have a review of the fabulous pen case I use every day. Oh, and the pens I use.
